Initial Set up

To utilize all the features of Gomboc, you must grant Gomboc access to your environment, allowing it to scan your organization. The type of integration required depends on the systems you use and what you need to scan. For more information, see Integrate with Gomboc for details about available integrators.

Onboarding Process

Now that you have met all the prerequisites, we can begin the onboarding process. Gomboc offers a clear and straightforward onboarding experience. The onboarding include:

  • Security Policy: Define and configure your security policies

  • Source Code Management: Select and integrate your source code management provider.

  • Repository Management: Configure access to your repositories.

  • Initial Scan: Perform the initial assess your codebase.

You must have a Gomboc Admin role to begin onboarding.

Step 1: Welcome to the Onboarding Wizard

After this first login, you will be guided through a short onboarding wizard to make sure you have the minimal parameters needed. Click Begin to get started.

Step 2: Security Policy Configuration

Set up your security policies according to your organization’s requirements. You can customize the policies to fit your specific needs.

Step 3: Source Code Managemet Integration

Choose your source code management provider from the list and follow the prompts to integrate it with Gomboc. Ensure you have the necessary permissions to complete this step.

Step 4: Repository Management

Configure which repositories Gomboc should access. Make sure to grant the necessary permissions for Gomboc to scan your repositories.

Step 5: Initial Scan

Initiate the initial scan of your repositories to assess your codebase’s security posture. Review the results to identify any immediate issues that need attention.

Step 6: All Set

You have successfully completed the onboarding process. You are now ready to use Gomboc to monitor and manage your cloud security.
